On November 16, 2006, five men working as private security contractors for
Crescent Security were taken hostage. They were escorting a group of tractor
trailor units from Navistar, Kuwait to Tallil airbase in Nasariyah. At
approximately 12:30pm the convoy was stopped by a group of masked men at
a fake security checkpoint near Tampa Bridge #3.
